(West Salem, WI – October 8, 2011) Speed was on display tonight for the third day of the 42nd Annual Livewire Energy Oktoberfest Race Weekend. Skylar Holzhausen came from the middle of the field to take the Big 8 Series win. Dan Jung showcased his strong car in the OUTLAWZ feature and James Swan capped off his 2011 Mid-American Series season with a win and a championship.

West Salem, WI- With the weekly racing season just shifting into high gear around the Midwest, as of the start of June twenty seven drivers have already become eligible for the JMcK 63 on Sunday afternoon October 9 during Oktoberfest Race Weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. The Late Model invitational event, which pays tribute to the late Oktoberfest promoter John McKarns, is open to any weekly late model feature winner, the top 6 in Big 8 Series points, former ARTGO Top Guns and past Big 8 Oktoberfest feature winners.

LACROSSE, Wis. (Saturday, October 9th, 2010) -- Steve Rubeck won the battle but Jeremy Miller won the war. After a commanding performance landed Rubeck in victory lane for his triumph in the Big 8 Series presented by Gandrud Chevrolet 'Oktoberfest 48' tonight, Miller took an unprecedented third series title home, locking up the championship at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway with a seventh place effort.
